The company, founded in 2015, specializes in historical gowns, historically inspired dresses and wedding gowns, all made individually according to the customer's measurements.

Elaine’s Couture is a one-women business and each garment is made following an artisan process, thus creating a unique piece: I follow historical techniques both while making the pattern on the customer's measurements and while cutting and sewing the dress and its understructures, even when I'm working on an original design.

I also provide to industry professionals, students and artists a consulting service about the history of Italian fashion from the 15th century to the 19th century.

Since 2017 at the studio I teach workshops and classes about recreating an historical dress or undergarment, dressmaking and history of costume and fashion design.
